28 minutes is all it took for Floyd Mayweather to pocket a huge $275 million when he boxed UFC superstar Conor McGregor in what was described as 'the biggest fight in combat sports history'.

'The Money Fight' lived up to its billing as Mayweather earned upwards of $200 million, including a guaranteed $100 million purse.

Pay-per-view sales were through the roof and the live gate also produced an enormous chunk of change.

Two years on from the mega-money Las Vegas showdown, we look back at the eye-watering numbers the fight generated.

Pay-Per-View Revenue - $500 million

Mayweather vs. McGregor generated a whopping 4.3 million pay-per-view buys and more than $500 million in total revenue, ranking it the second biggest PPV of all time.

However, globally, the fight ended up doing in excess of 5 million PPV buys following the success in the UK. Sky Box Office carried the bout and it garnered a reported 874,000 buys.

Mayweather's Earnings - $275 million

Mayweather made a staggering $275 million for a single night of work after stopping McGregor in the 10th round.

His paycheck was three times as much as McGregor's due to his shrewd business ways as promoter and as the 'A' side, w hich means he gets a piece of every revenue pie; from PPV to gate.

They don't call him 'Money' for nothing.

McGregor's Earnings - $85 million

McGregor brought home an eight-figure pay cheque for his boxing debut.

The Irish star was guaranteed to make $30 million, but he ultimately received $85 million after getting a cut of the PPV.

That pales in comparison to his UFC payouts. He earned a disclosed $3 million for his rematch against Nate Diaz.

Live Gate - $55 million

Mayweather vs. McGregor drew a mammoth live gate. 13,094 people crammed into the T-Mobile Arena for a $55 million live gate.

The average sale price for a ticket was $4,232 and t ickets were priced at up to $10,000 with ringside seats going on resale sites for as high as $24,000.
